Launch of Community Support Scheme for Knutsford
We are delighted to launch our Community Support Scheme in Knutsford – with £500 grants available to community groups and organisations in the area.
In January 2012, we launched the Knutsford Community Hero initiative in a bid to find and reward local residents who go above and beyond the call of duty to make Knutsford a better place to live. This year we will be rewarding groups in the area through the Community Support Scheme.
Colin Lawson, managing partner of Equilibrium said:
We have always believed strongly in supporting the communities we work in, so we are delighted to be able to launch the scheme in Knutsford.
Having already celebrated the excellent work provided by fantastic individuals in the community previously with the Knutsford Community Hero scheme, it is an honour to be able to reward groups and organisations with the launch of this new Community Support Scheme.’
How to apply
Applications opened on the 21 January and we would like to invite charities, community groups and organisations from across the region to apply for grants of up to £500 to support the work they are doing in the area.
The scheme accepts applications from not-for-profit organisations which help disadvantaged people, promote sport and the arts, support education and development, and benefit the environment in Knutsford. The Knutsford Community Support Scheme is one of a number of initiatives we run as part of our Charitable Foundation, which aims to raise £250,000 for local charities by 2020.
To find out more, visit our Foundation page. Applications will be accepted by an online application form, which can be downloaded here. All applications will be reviewed quarterly, with grants ranging from £100 to £500.
