The Equilibrium Foundation
Our purpose of making people’s lives better wouldn’t be complete without making a positive difference to the lives of those in our community. That’s why, in 2010, we established the Equilibrium Foundation. Having already smashed our initial target of raising £250k for charitable organisations by 2020, we have upped our goal to £4m (yes, £4m!) by August 2028.
The whole Equilibrium team is onboard with our approach to helping the community. You can see some of the causes we have helped here. We have also achieved diamond status from our team’s generous Give As You Earn contributions, the highest possible Payroll Giving Award. In addition to this, every single team member receives three paid volunteer days a year, and our team of Charity Champions organise volunteer days in the local community to give back to worthwhile causes and organisations.
Equilibrium developed Libby’s Big Aeroplane Adventure, a free financial skills project, to provide key-stage two children with the foundations to build a sound financial understanding that they can carry with them throughout life.
Teaching financial skillsQuote from a Year five pupil who took part in a Libby workshop "I thought financial skills were really interesting and fun. Mr Evans and Grandad were really nice, happy and kind. We learnt about money and how to make a budget."
Supporting trainingQuote from Pure Insight on our community support scheme grant "We are able to train more volunteer mentors who provide weekly support to a young person who does not have support networks."
Funding eventsQuote from Friends of Heath on our community support scheme grant "It’s fantastic that Equilibrium awarded us such a generous grant, which provided the important funding for us to promote and run our 'Nature on The Heath' event."
