The End of Life Partnership, a charity based in Winterley, has received a £500 donation from local wealth management business Equilibrium Asset Management.
Formed in 1999 as Cheshire Hospices Education, the charity aims to create a more complete and holistic approach to care, death and loss through public awareness and community engagement.
It also offers education and training for the health and social care workforce, as well as the development of best practice and services to better serve the needs of local communities.
The grant will be used to purchase a mobile PA system, which the End of Life Partnership can use for events such as its annual conference and educational sessions. Currently, the organisation has to hire a system, which significantly adds to its running costs.
In addition, the team is livestreaming more and more activities in order to make them more accessible. The new PA system will help the charity to improve the quality of the audio when streaming.
Lynne Partington, Evaluation, Quality and Performance Team Leader at the End of Life Partnership, said: “Many thanks to Equilibrium, we are thrilled to receive this grant. The money will buy much-needed equipment which will allow us to improve the way which we deliver our end of life and palliative care education to local health and social care professionals.”
The End of Life Partnership would also like to purchase barcode scanners to help sign in delegates more quickly and efficiently at events; these will enable live upload to its database and will reduce administration time.
