Equilibrium Financial Planning founder Colin Lawson passes away
Equilibrium Financial Planning founder, Colin Lawson, died on Thursday 20 August after a short illness. He was 56.
Colin founded Equilibrium in 1995 and built it into one of the North West’s leading Chartered financial planning firms, now looking after around £1.8bn for clients from its offices in Handforth, Hale and Chester. He was also the driving force behind the Equilibrium Foundation, which has donated more than £1.3m to charities across the region.
David Campbell, Chair, said “The news of Colin’s passing has come as a huge shock to everyone. His tragic premature death is an enormous loss to the team he led so brilliantly, and he leaves the business on a high with real momentum, which we want to build upon”.
Colin ensured he had a trusted team around him, so Equilibrium Financial Planning will now be led by Debbie Jukes and its senior leadership team, with the backing of Sovereign Capital Partners. There will be no change to the services clients receive.
