Bollington’s Bridgend Centre handed £500 Equilibrium Asset Management grant
The Bridgend Centre has been awarded a £500 grant from Equilibrium Asset Management.
The Bridgend Centre has been awarded a £500 grant from Equilibrium Asset Management.
The Bollington-based charity, set up in 1990 to create a positive life for all the community and those feeling isolated, will use the funds to purchase an automatic entrance door for visitors.
Centre manager Rebecca Lea said: “We applied to Equilibrium Asset Management’s Cheshire East Community Scheme because the company is local and continues to build links with businesses, organisations, charities and people in communities near to its Wilmslow headquarters.
“We have nearly 1500 regular users of The Bridgend Centre who use it for many reasons, many of whom have disabilities or bring children and babies in pushchairs. And the current front door is quite old, heavy and in need of updating.
“So, we are delighted to have won this £500 grant which will go towards the full cost of the new automatic door.”
Equilibrium Asset Management’s Community Support Scheme awards grants ranging between £100 and £500 to community organisations and charities across the region.
Applications are now open to a community support scheme which gives charities, voluntary groups and not-for-profit organisations across Cheshire East the chance to win grants of £500.
Equilibrium Asset Management has run the scheme since 2015 and awarded almost £10,000 in funds to community groups to date.
Applications to the second round of this year’s community support scheme can be submitted up until September 17.
