We are delighted to be able to share with you that the EQ team and our clients raised £4,276.10 to buy presents for Key 103’s Mission Christmas.
We also made donating a gift even easier by becoming an official drop-off point for gifts and received 35 presents under our Christmas tree.
This meant that in total around 122 children in the Manchester area received presents at Christmas, who might not have received a gift otherwise. With Mission Christmas typically receiving less donations for teenagers, we focused on purchasing gifts for this age range with the fantastic amount raised. We were able to buy a wide variety of presents and hopefully this brought a smile to many faces when unwrapping their presents on Christmas day!
As well as donating presents, some of the Equilibrium team also spent a couple of days at Mission Christmas HQ to help sort and bag the presents into age categories to send to the children.
How we made a positive difference
- We raised a fantastic total of £4,276.10 to enable us to purchase presents for over a 100 children
- 35 gifts donated which were given to children in the Manchester area
- 122 children received presents that might not have otherwise received one
- 10 members of the Equilibrium team volunteered at Mission HQ to help sort the thousands of presents received!
A big thank you to all of our clients who either dropped off a present with us or donated money during our Christmas parties.
Greater Manchester is the worst hit region for child poverty in the UK with 1 in 3 children living in poverty. Cash for Kids works hard to make the festive period a little more enjoyable for children who are not expecting a visit from Santa and we are incredibly proud to have supported the great work they do. In total, £1,844,468 was raised for Key 103’s Mission Christmas across the region – meaning that 48,690 children got a lovely surprise on Christmas Day!
