EQ’s marketing department has a new member! Well, for three weeks. Mia Clarke has joined the team to gain some events and marketing experience. We caught up with her to see how she’s found her time with us so far…

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m 19 years old and from Wilmslow. I went to Cheadle Hulme School and then Alderley Edge School For Girls. I enjoy cooking a lot and I have an interest in photography.

Why did you choose to do work experience at EQ?

I chose to do work experience at Equilibrium because, with it being a well-established company, I thought it would give me a better understanding of event management and the realms within it. I also wanted to develop skills that would benefit me and provide a stepping stone when applying for courses and jobs in the future.

What’s your experience been like at EQ so far?

My experience so far has been good fun, and I am enjoying what I am currently doing. I am looking forward to seeing the client Christmas lunches next week and to helping take pictures of the events and people.

What’s been your favourite thing about working here?

My favourite thing about working here is the social environment. I have found everyone very welcoming and friendly, and I feel I have settled in quickly and comfortably because of the good friendly atmosphere.

What’s something people might not know about you?

Something people may not know about me is that I am a twin.

If you had to make up one rule that everyone had to follow, what would it be?

The one rule, if I had to would probably be you have to smile at everyone you make contact with.

What are your plans after your time at EQ?

My plan after here is to hopefully find a course down in London to study Events Management.
