To be honest, I fell into financial planning a little by accident. Two weeks of work experience during school wasn’t supposed to amount to much, but it was enough to show me exactly what I wanted to do. I joined Equilibrium as a trainee straight from school and it was one of the best decisions I have made to date.
Several years later, a stack of exams, and a lot of client conversations later, and I’m still exactly where I want to be.
What makes Equilibrium special is pretty simple – the people. Every day, I’m surrounded by some of the brightest minds in the industry, but there’s no hierarchy, no egos, just a shared belief that doing right by clients is everything. It’s a firm where debate is encouraged, ideas are welcomed, and fun is never far away.
The most rewarding part of my career is working with clients across all walks of life to understand what actually matters to them. If a client leaves a meeting feeling more confident and clear about their future than when they walked in, that’s exactly what my career is about for me.
Away from the office I like to keep life full. Sport is a big part of my life and when I’m not chasing my ball down the fairway (or more often the rough), you will find me following football, on the occasional ski trip, or keeping up with all things motorsport. Life’s too short not to enjoy what you do.
